How do I prep my skin

To prepare for your bronzing experience, you should exfoliate all areas up to a day before your tan (or just before), then cleanse with a gentle cleanser. Ending your shower with a cool rinse helps, and then remember not to moisturise or apply sun cream as this will create a barrier to your spray tan. Some people ask if they should use tan eraser, but as this does not remove dead skin cells in order to best prepare your skin for your next spray tan, and can be harsh on your skin the we recommend exfoliating and choose not to provide eraser

What do I need to bring

Just yourself! At Bronze Bar we provide all you need for a flawless tan, all our rooms offer barrier cream, hairnets and wipes. We do have other items (including nipple pads for those breastfeeding and fun tan stickers!) but ask you only take what you need as we try to be as environmentally conscious as possible. If there are other items you feel you require, please don’t hesitate to get in touch to discuss

In room prep

We’ll talk you through how the process works and provide colour guidance. There is supplied barrier cream to help blend drier areas such as ankles, feet, knees, elbows and all over hands, including fingernails. We also have hairnets and wipes. Each spray tan booth also has an instructional poster to guide you through the whole process

Are your tans safe for people who are pregnant, breastfeeding or have sensitive skin

Our products are Australian made and free from SLS, parabens and gluten. They are also vegan, cruelty free, non-comedogenic (non-pore clogging) and the active ingredients are eco-certified and natural. This means they are very gentle on the skin and suitable for most skin types, however if you have any concerns whatsoever, we recommend you discuss with your dermatologist or medical professional

How does the experience work

The process is very easy, once you’ve purchased online you’ll then have the option to book a set time (one off tans) or call in at your convenience. Members who sign up will be contacted separately to arrange their tag collection. Once at the Bar we’ll run you through how everything works. Each room also has an instructional poster, plus the spray tan booths include voice guidance and a position guide poster

How long does it take

The spray tan itself only takes around 3 minutes, this includes full coverage and drying, so you should expect the entire experience to take around 7 minutes! We do ask that you keep your time in the room to only what you need to allow time for everyone to enjoy the bronze experience!

What should I wear during and after my tan

For your spray tan you should remove all jewellery and we recommend you do not wear any underwear to allow for a full and flawless tan. Each booth session includes full body drying so you can then get fully dressed as you wish. A lot of customers chose to bring a loose-fitting dress or kaftan to slip on after their tan but normal clothing is also perfectly fine. Note there may be some colour transfer if you choose the non-clear based spray tans, but it should wash out easily

Is there someone onsite/how do I get help if needed

Whilst we do often have staff on site, our facilities are state of the art, so staff are not always required. If you need assistance whilst no one is on site, then please call us where we can assist and guide you through any questions, including information on best colour options and how it all works

Can I bring a friend/partner/child with me

You are more than welcome to bring someone along, but note that they MUST stay in our waiting area and do not go into any rooms with you. If you have a child you wish to take into the room, you may do so but please remember you are responsible for their safety at all times as well as any damage incurred. For the safety and security of all our members we have security cameras monitoring the public areas and our booth technology allows us to track the tan types and times. Any misuse whatsoever may result in instant membership cancellation, recoupling of costs and police reporting

How do I care for my spray tan

Your tan will continue to develop after you leave The Bar but remember to clean your hands immediately after your tan. Because our tans are organic and the active ingredients are so gentle and natural, they do not contain chemical accelerators and so take a little longer to develop. Some people prefer to leave their tan on overnight in order to get the maximum development, however they can also be rinsed off in as little as 3 hours. We can talk you through the time options on the day of your tan, but after showering, always gently pat dry with a towel and moisturise well to ensure a long lasting spay tan

How long will my spray tan last

This depends on may factors, including your own skin type and how fast it renews. With the correct preparation and aftercare your skin can stay bronzed and beautiful for an average of 5 to 7 days, with some clients getting up to 14 days wear!

When are the spray tan booths cleaned

Our state of the art booths have a wash down feature which automatically activates after each spray tan, ensuring you have a clean and comfortable experience. We also manually clean them every day and undertake further deep cleaning weekly and monthly

Can I get dressed immediately

Yes! All of our sprays include drying, both between each spray and at the end (don't worry, the voice guidance will walk you through this at the time). This means you can get dressed immediately and get on with your day. Remember we have several colour options and shades, these will give you an immediate colour and then develop. We also have our clear base which goes on transparent and then will develop over the next 6-12 hours, if you prefer to not have the immediate colour option. What are your membership options

How do memberships work

Once you have chosen your membership and signed up online, we will contact you to arrange a suitable time for you to come in to collect your tag and start tanning. Your membership will run from your sign up date and your access is renewed per your plan type. Please contact us if you have any questions around the billing structure

Can I get a walk in/one-off spray tan

Of course! Go to our Pricing page and choose this option, once purchased you have the option to either pre-book a specific time or simply head in at your leisure (we have machines available for both options!). We offer walk ins in any time between 8am and 9pm, just tell us when works for you!

How do your special offers work

How do I cancel my membership

We hope you love your Bronze Bar experience so much that you never want to cancel, but we understand it happens. Please Contact Us and we can assist. We do not have minimum membership periods (excluding special offers), the cancellation period is 30 days and processing times and further information can be found in our T&Cs, which are displayed before you sign up are emailed to you after sign up
